About Roneford Catering T&C’s

Roneford Catering is the trading name of Roneford Catering Equipment Wholesalers Ltd. Co No: 08579126, VAT Reg No: 504866146

In This Agreement, the “Customer” means any person who places an Order with Roneford Catering (either as a private consumer or as a business).  Roneford Catering should be known as the “Supplier”.

This Agreement is one of continuous improvement; we reserve the right to change specifications to This Agreement and our products or services without any prior notice.

 

1. Pricing policy

All the products on this site are priced excluding VAT and are applicable to a charge of VAT currently fixed at 20%.  All prices are per piece, expect for the case of Cutlery that are priced per box.  The Customer is able to select a single product although only box quantities can be supplied for all items except for Seconds quality Crockery products, that can be purchased singularly as long as the total order value is of £50 or more excluding VAT.  There may from time-to-time be promotions applied to certain products that will be indicated by a SALE or Special Price logo.  Roneford Catering reserves the right to alter these promotions as and when needed (without any prior notice).  All promotions are valid on Products only while stocks last and the reduced price will not be applicable if the product is temporarily out of stock and therefore cannot be put on back-order at a reduced price.  Although, we aim to have a website that is as up-to-date as possible, we are currently experiencing regular price increases from manufacturers and therefore the indicated List Price and/or Reduced price may change or may not be as indicated on the website.  We encourage visitors to send us your order request and all pricing that is indicated in your personalised quote (that is sent after we have received your order request) will reflect current List Prices and Reduced prices, where applicable. 

 

2. Returns policy

If you wish to return goods you have a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until you return them. Please telephone us if you would like to return your order. Goods must be returned in their original condition, including immediate packaging, within 7 days our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.  For further information on your statutory rights look at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk.

Our return policies apply to goods unused and as new, in their original packaging (external & internal) and with all instruction manuals.  Unless otherwise stated during the sales process.

Special order and refrigerated goods may not be returned unless found to be damaged or faulty upon delivery.  Unsuitable goods or goods ordered in error will be charged a restocking fee of up to 30% plus vat of the order value.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic no refunds are possible at the moment, only credit on to accounts.  Please make sure that the goods you order are suitable for your purpose, prior to placing your order.

 

3. Delivery

Free delivery applies to orders over £50.00 (excluding VAT) to an address within the M25 area.  Any deliveries outside of the M25 area will be charged a shipping fee that will be calculated by postcode and size of goods package.  The minimum order level for any one order via this website is at £50 excluding VAT.

If although you require up to 3 samples, this can be arranged free of charge (only when the item is in stock) there will be a charge only for delivery of the samples. The cost of delivery will vary depending on the post code.  Samples available only to trade: professionals of the hospitality industry.  Although all are welcome to our Shop/Showroom in Tottenham, London to see the products in person.

When a delivery is received all goods must be examined upon delivery for obvious signs of damage and a note must be made on the driver´s paperwork. If this is not possible you must add the words “damaged” to your signature. The customer must inform Roneford Catering Equipment Wholesalers Ltd within 24 hours of receipt of any damage or shortage to their order.

A signature is required upon delivery for all goods.  During pandemic period, we operate a drop-to-door service and will only require a visual acknowledgement that your goods have been received. 

You have the right to refuse delivery of a damaged item, please inform us immediately via email.

Should you fail to take delivery at the appointed address and time, goods may be returned to our warehouse or supplier. The costs incurred where goods are returned in relation to failed delivery attempts shall be passed on to you, the Customer.

You must make sure that you have adequate provision and personnel to receive goods once off–loaded from the vehicle as the driver is under no further obligation from that point.  You must make sure that you have checked all dimensions thoroughly and have adequate access for the goods being delivered, particularly large and bulky items.

Roneford Catering Equipment Wholesalers Ltd. reserves the right to charge for failed deliveries.

Deliveries required at specific times during the day must always be booked with Roneford Catering in advance.  The Supplier cannot guarantee delivery at that specific time, although it will aim to do so.

 

4. Termination of catering orders

Roneford Catering reserves the right, by notice to the Customer, to cancel or suspend any Order where payment has not been received.  Where goods have been delivered and full payment has not been received (within the time frame agreed between the Customer and the Supplier – Roneford Catering), these goods belong still to the Supplier and can be regained by the Supplier once the payment agreement (verbal or written) has been broken. 

Roneford Catering reserves the right to terminate this Agreement if the Customer cannot pay its debts or becomes bankrupt or has a winding-up order made or appoints an Administrator, Liquidator, and Receiver or similar is appointed over the whole or a substantial part of the assets and undertaking of the Customer.

Roneford Catering reserves the right to suspend or terminate performance of this Agreement where delivery or supply of the Goods and/or performance of this Agreement is affected by reasons out of Roneford Catering’s reasonable control such as force majeure, act of God, adverse weather and government intervention, sanction or legislation.

Roneford Catering reserves the right to cancel any Order where it is reasonably suspected that the Customer is not legally permitted to purchase any Goods specified in the Order (such as solvents and knives) or if the Customer is under the age of 18 when purchasing Knives or Choppers.

 

5. General catering product terms

Should any of the conditions herein be in conflict with those of the buyer, these conditions shall prevail. These conditions and any contract entered into shall be subject to and construed in accordance with English law.  If the customer is dealing in the capacity of a consumer then these terms and conditions shall not affect their statutory rights.

Age restricted goods are not for sale to persons under the age of 18. By placing an order for knives you are indicating that you are over 18 years of age or over.

Damaged, shortages and non-delivery of goods must be reported within 2 days of delivery date. 

Any kitchen design drawing with key and full dimensions is only given once a deposit is made (the deposit is subject to the size of kitchen between 30%-50%).  The deposit requested is subject to the discretion of Roneford Catering, depending on the value of the goods proposed in the Kitchen. 

Any deposit is non-refundable, although is deducted off the total value of the order.  Where goods have been delivered and full payment has not been received (within the time frame agreed between the Customer and  the “Supplier” Roneford Catering), these goods belong still to the Supplier and can be regained by the Supplier once the payment agreement (verbal or written) has been broken. 

Warranty of goods depends on the product and the manufacturer of the goods and this will vary depending on each of the previously mentioned.  All Warranty of: New: A-Grade, New: B-Grade, Ex-Demonstration & Second-Hand Catering Equipment will be indicated on the invoice of goods.  If there is no warranty mentioned on the Invoice of goods to the Customer, these items listed on the invoice of goods are not supplied by the Supplier with warranty to the Customer.  

 

6. Intellectual Property Rights and Confidentiality

Goods sold or supplied by Roneford Catering may be subject to copyright (whether owned by Roneford Catering or a third party) and the Customer covenants not to breach, infringe or prejudice any intellectual property and copyright associated with the Goods without approval.  The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Roneford Catering harmless for any breach of said covenant.  The Customer’s data protection and privacy rights under this Agreement are set out in Roneford Catering privacy policy (available on the Roneford Catering website).

The kitchen design service is the intellectual property of Roneford Catering until a (non-refundable) payment is made towards a commercial kitchen. Roneford Catering reserves the right to not show a detailed kitchen designs with dimensions until a payment (in the form of a non-refundable deposit) is made. 

 

7. Cookies
